Robert Martin has served as a Pharmaceutical Investigator with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for more than 15 years, specializing in both human and veterinary drug oversight. As a certified Level II Pharmaceutical Investigator, he conducted complex pharmaceutical inspections across domestic and international facilities.

During his tenure he spent approximately three years on the FDA’s Foreign Drug Cadre, where he focused exclusively on international pharmaceutical inspections. His inspection experience spans a wide range of products, including biological products (both finished dosage forms and drug substances), sterile pharmaceuticals, radiopharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medicines, bulk drug substances, veterinary products, cosmetic products, and new and abbreviated drug applications (NDAs and ANDAs).

Leading numerous inspections that resulted in FDA regulatory actions and has collaborated with the FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations on several criminal cases.

Before joining the FDA, working for more than 12 years as a Forensic Investigator with the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minors in Physics and Criminal Justice. Mr. Martin is also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.
